- Please try to arrive 5-10 minutes early if possible. Some classes are held outdoors, please dress appropriately.
- The workshop should last about 90 minutes with about 15 additional minutes to distribute compost bins or other related materials, depending on if it is a compost workshop or a worm composting workshop.
- You will receive a 12-page Home Composting booklet containing information covered in class. This booklet also lists additional reference book and website resources.
- Worm Composting-Only Workshops focus on food scraps and are often the best option for those with limited space and minimal or no yardwaste. Participants will assemble a working worm bin to take home.
Please bring a valid California I.D. if you wish to purchase a compost bin ($20 cash or check only — limited to 1 bin per household — while supplies last) or take advantage of the free mail-in rebate. Your monthly garbage bill can also verify Napa County residency. Out-of-county residents are not eligible for bins or rebates, but are welcome to attend for educational enrichment. Bins and rebates are distributed at the end of the class.
